MerchMatch started out as an individual, who marketed used electronics through the online marketplace eBay under the username AuctionWatchlist. After getting to know the market and what items were hot and how much they were worth, AuctionWatchlist began to increase its capital and began marketing used laptops, computers, and other higher-end items. Once Apple began its dominance of the electronic media market, MerchMatch began specializing in Apple products, new and used.

Once the business was comfortably rolling and doing enough on an individual basis, it quickly grew to a complete online pawn shop, which is what MerchMatch.com has become today. Items that we have in our inventory that do not sell on a local basis are sold through our eBay store under our new username,
